UP-DATE:Ange Postecoglou confirms Tottenham star ‘likely’ to miss…..
Ange Postecoglou, Tottenham’s head coach, has confirmed that several key players will miss upcoming fixtures due to injury concerns. Among the most significant updates, Micky van de Ven is expected to be sidelined for at least three games as he continues his recovery from a hamstring injury. Van de Ven has resumed light training but is not expected to return to full fitness until mid-December.
Cristian Romero, another pivotal player for Spurs, remains a doubt for their weekend match against Manchester City, as he is still recovering from a previous injury sustained in an international match. Postecoglou acknowledged that while Romero’s physical condition is improving, he’s not yet fit enough to feature in the upcoming fixture.
In addition to these defensive concerns, the team is also dealing with the absence of new signing Dominic Solanke, who sustained an ankle injury during the season opener against Leicester. Solanke’s condition worsened post-match, and he will likely miss the next three games. His recovery timeline will depend on how quickly he regains full fitness.
These absences leave Tottenham with some gaps in their squad as they prepare for crucial upcoming matches, including their encounter against the Premier League champions.
