The Alabama Crimson Tide recently completed their first nine-win season since the Gene Stallings era. Current head coach Kalen DeBoer is attempting to return Alabama to the level of competing for national championships. Between 2007 and 2023, the Crimson Tide won six games under former head coach Nick Saban. On3’s Hayes Fawcett revealed Saturday that Alabama was a finalist for Titan Davis, a 2026 defensive lineman. Other finalists included the Michigan Wolverines, the USC Trojans, and the Penn State Nittany Lions.

Davis is from St. Louis, Missouri, and attends DeSmet High School. He is classified as 6-foot-4 and 262 pounds. If Davis chooses Alabama, he will be the Crimson Tide’s second defensive lineman commit from the 2026 class.

Davis is a four-star prospect and the number nine defensive lineman in the On3 Industry Rankings. According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, Alabama is the frontrunner for the recruit. The Crimson Tide has a 20.2% probability of signing him, followed by Michigan (17.7%), Penn State (15.1%), and USC (10.1%).

Alabama’s 2026 recruiting class includes five-star cornerback Jorden Edmonds, four-star edge rusher Jamarion Matthews, four-star corner Zyan Gibson, four-star interior offensive lineman Chris Booker, and four-star defensive lineman Kamhariyan Johnson. The Crimson Tide has already made two visits to Davis, with an official visit slated for Friday. Alabama received positive recruiting news on Thursday. The Crimson has been declared a finalist for defensive lineman Nolan Wilson. Alabama had a 29.5% chance of landing him, according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine.

Linebacker Cincere Johnson was also a finalist at Alabama. He is the No. 2 recruit from Ohio. Alabama’s 2025 season opener is scheduled on August 30 against the Florida State Seminoles.
