The Tennessee Titans are parting ways with an undrafted rookie running back for the time being.

The Tennessee Titans have officially announced two adjustments to their running back room as the offseason begins. The Titans have signed former Philadelphia Eagles running back Tyrion Davis-Price to a two-year agreement. Ian Rapoport of NFL Network had already reported on the move before Tennessee’s announcement.

However, in order to create place for Davis-Price, the Titans cut undrafted rookie running back Micah Bernard, who inked a contract with Tennessee after the 2025 NFL Draft. He was among 16 undrafted free agents who signed with the Titans, including Miami wide receiver Xavier Restrepo, Iowa cornerback Jermani Harris, Auburn defensive lineman Isaiah Raikes, Texas linebacker David Gbenda, and others.

Bernard played for the Utah Utes for six seasons throughout his college career. He played in back-to-back Rose Bowls during the 2021 and ’22 seasons, including collecting a score in a 48-45 loss to the Ohio State Buckeyes on New Year’s Day 2022. Bernard enjoyed his best collegiate season with the Utes, ending with career highs in carries (197) and running yards (1,009), as well as four touchdowns. He also had 30 receptions for 150 yards and two more touchdowns.

The Titans might eventually return Bernard to the practice squad, but another team would come in and claim him off waivers or sign him if he remains unclaimed. As things stand, the Titans may make additional alterations to their backfield before the regular season begins. Though Tony Pollard and Tyjae Spears are guaranteed spots on the 53-man roster until a trade occurs, Julius Chestnut could be removed in favour of sixth-round rookie Kalel Mullings. Tennessee will kick off preseason play on August 9 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Raymond James Stadium.
