The South Carolina Gamecocks have assembled a formidable 2025 football recruiting class under head coach Shane Beamer, blending in-state talent with strategic transfers to bolster both offense and defense. Ranked 20th nationally and 12th in the SEC by 247Sports Composite, the class features standout athletes poised to make immediate impacts.
Leading the offensive recruits is four-star wide receiver Donovan Murph from Irmo High School. Murph, who reclassified from the 2026 class, amassed 1,328 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns in his senior year, showcasing his playmaking abilities . Complementing him are fellow four-star receivers Malik Clark, Lex Cyrus, and Brian Rowe, each bringing speed and versatility to the receiving corps .
At quarterback, the Gamecocks secured Cutter Woods, a two-time MaxPreps South Carolina High School Player of the Year. Woods threw for over 11,000 yards and 120 touchdowns during his high school career, leading Westside High to a state title in 2023 . To strengthen the offensive line, South Carolina added four-star tackles Damola Ajidahun and Shed Sarratt Jr., aiming to enhance protection and reduce negative plays .
Defensively, the Gamecocks welcomed top junior college defensive tackle Zavion Hardy, ranked No. 1 among JUCO prospects, and four-star EDGE rusher Donovan Darden, expected to invigorate the pass rush . Safety Kendall Daniels, known for his ball skills and tackling, adds depth to the secondary .
Through the transfer portal, South Carolina acquired running back Rahsul Faison from Utah State, who tallied 1,845 yards and 13 touchdowns over two seasons . Additionally, quarterback Air Noland from Ohio State and tight end Jordan Dingle from Kentucky joined the roster, providing experience and depth.
