Four-star forward Corey Chest becomes LSU basketball's first commit

In August 2022, Chest committed to LSU, becoming the first commitment for the Tigers in the Class of 2023. Opting to redshirt his initial season, he utilized this period to acclimate to the collegiate level, focusing on enhancing his physicality, understanding of the game, and integrating into LSU’s system.
