Rajon Rondo got honest about the 2011 Heat vs.
Celtics Finals series, specifically what happened with Dwyane Wade.
Rondo injured Wade’s elbow in the third quarter of Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals when he collided with Wade and fell with his elbow jammed.
“This game was kind of a freak accident,” Rondo said on the “View from the Rafters – Behind the Scenes of the Boston Celtics” podcast.
“We were teammates after that, so there’s no bad blood, but I think he intentionally broke it up.

“He was playing around, playing ball, trying to play ball, and he ended up touching my elbow,” Rondo said.
After his injury, Rondo was diagnosed with a dislocated elbow, but he returned in Game 4 and helped the C’s win 97-81 over the Heat.
Rondo spoke about her motivation to continue playing despite her pain.
“Adrenaline,” Londo said.
“Just like any other injury, that was a mindset for me.
I went back to the locker room.

They’re trying to tell me not to play.
“I’m like, ‘I have to go.
I’ll come back later, we’ll figure it out in a few weeks.
‘” But that wasn’t enough for a Miami team to stop Boston’s momentum.
