Carvalho has been on loan at RB Leipzig this season. The 21-year-old has struggled to hold down a regular place in the team, failing to register a goal contribution.
Given that January is just around the corner, the rumour mill will soon be in full flow. Nuno Espirito Santo may want to add a few of his own players and naturally, this sort of thing will spark speculation.
Carvalho watches Forest claim another victory
The £52,000-a-week youngster was signed for Liverpool from Fulham in a deal worth £5 million. He’s made 21 appearances for the Anfield giants but his short-term future looks to be elsewhere.
His loan at RB Leipzig could be terminated due to the lack of game time. Liverpool want to get a genuine feel for what he can do and want him to be playing games, according to the Liverpool Echo.

Carvalho was snapped posing for photographs with young Forest supporters during the game. It’s not clear why he was at the City Ground, although he did comment on Anthony Elanga’s post on Instagram after the game.
This could have been as innocent as Carvalho being friends with the Forest winger and coming to watch him in action. However, perhaps there is more to it than that and it will be interesting to see how this develops.

Carvalho would be quality signing
Forest will probably look for a couple of pieces of quality in January as opposed to quantity. Another attacking player will likely be on the list and why not Carvalho?
The youngster fits the modern-day profile of someone who can improve and it perhaps wouldn’t be completely beyond the realms of reality that Forest could get Carvalho permanently if he were to impress on loan.
The versatility element would be key for Forest. He can play anywhere across the front three, although this season when called upon he’s been used on the flanks.
It’s worth mentioning that this could be nothing. Carvalho commenting on Elanga’s post on Instagram after the game probably tempers any serious suggestions that he’s going to join Forest for now.
