Hatters manager Rob Edwards insists he has the resources to strengthen Town’s squad for the second half of the Premier League season if they can bring in the right players during the January transfer window.
Luton reached the halfway point of the season with a 3-2 defeat at home to Chelsea at the weekend, leaving the team third from the bottom in the Premier League, but ahead of a number of opponents including Everton, Brentford and Nottingham.
The club is still within reach.
Just to name three: forests.
Defender Tom Lockyer continues his recovery from cardiac arrest at AFC Bournemouth, while midfielder Marvelous Nakamba will be out for a “significant” period with a knee injury, while Edwards could be out for a month to strengthen.
His unit admitted something.

We’ll get help.
” If it works for us.
If so, and if we feel like they are the right type of player and the right person at the right price, they will help us.
I think we have the ability to do it then.
We’re not going to do that with a lot of players, but I think we can spend something there if it’s appropriate.

The atmosphere here is really, really good.
‘And I don’t want to disrupt that dynamic, but if there’s someone who can help us on the pitch and who we think can fit into the group, we can try.
With Nakamba’s long-term absence, Luton have valuable players in the same line-up as the Zimbabwean national team, but Albert  , who is currently on loan from Arsenal, has been on loan since his return to the team, especially against Newcastle and Sheffield.
He had a great performance against United.
Edwards went on to discuss whether central midfield is currently an area he wants to strengthen: “We still have good options left.
Ross (Barclay) and Sambi have played well in the last few games.
, we still have that.
I also have Jordan.
”Clarke, Perry (Mpanzu), Luke Berry are really good options and I think they will come in and provide good competition.
“We’re going to miss Marv.
He gave us something completely different and unique at this position.
I’ll say it again.
We have an opportunity to improve our group and we’re really going to miss Marv.
If we believe that there are people who can help us and make us better, we will get it.Even if it is unattainable for us, I really like what we have in this building here and we We’re happy to continue what we have.
” Edwards, they obviously did it in the summer.
Town spent just under £20 million on Mads Andersen, Tahith Chong, Ryan Giles, Thomas Kaminski, Jacob Brown and Teden Mengi, breaking multiple transfer records.
The Hatters were also talented.
