The Brazilian midfielder failed to impress during his loan spell with the Reds at the City Ground.
Santos only appeared once in the Premier League as Forest manager.
The 19-year-old played just seven minutes in the game.

Personally, I don’t think Forest should have signed Santos in the summer of 2023, even on a loan deal.
After all, he is only 19 years old and has no Premier League experience.
Let’s not forget that Santos moved to Chelsea from Vasco da Gama in January 2023 for £18 million (Daily Mail).
He was loaned to the Brazilian club in March.
It has always been difficult for Santos to establish himself at Forest.
At the time, with survival in the Premier League at stake, manager Steve Cooper wasn’t willing to give the 19-year-old much of a chance.

Journalist Sasha Tavolieri reports in X that the Nigeria international striker has been proposed to Rangers, adding that the player himself is interested in joining Gers in the January transfer window.

Dennis is currently on loan from Forest to Istanbul Basaksehir.
The striker moved to the Turkish club in the summer of 2023.
