Hammarby’s sporting director also said that the team had received offers but still hoped he would remain in Sweden.
Belgian reports have previously reported that the deal could cost around £4 million, but Gustafsson provided an update on Ajei’s future in an interview with Football Direct (via Rangers News).

Ajay clearly has a bright future ahead of him and choosing the right club is important at this stage.
He played football regularly last season and he wouldn’t want to take a step back in that regard.
The 21-year-old has yet to prove himself outside of Sweden, but there is clearly something about him that justifies his interest.
It will be interesting to see how this offer develops and whether any of the interested parties increase their offer closer to Hammarby’s asking price.
