It’s been over a week since the January transfer window opened, and there’s been a lot of talk about what kind of deal Rangers would like to make.
Much of this was predictable when Philippe Clement entered his first window as Ibrox boss.
While stories about players such as Lawrence Shankland and Scott McKenna weren’t all that surprising, new reports have emerged that may come as a shock to Gers fans.
Advertisement Football transfer gossip and rumor site TEAMTalk has reported that Rangers captain and modern club legend James Tavanier could be leaving Glasgow this month.
The website (formerly Twitter) said the 32-year-old was a “key target” for several clubs in Saudi Arabia.

His current contract runs until the summer of 2026, and the club could be considering a hefty transfer fee if he receives an offer this month.
