Lockyer shared an update after suffering cardiac arrest during the game against Bournemouth on December 16th.
He spent several nights in the hospital after having an implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD) implanted before his discharge.
An ICD is a small, battery-powered device that is placed in the chest to detect and stop irregular heartbeats.
Mr Lockyer said in his update that he was feeling better and praised the work of those who saved his life.
Mr Lockyer also said he planned to meet with experts in the new year to determine future options.
He also praised those who brought banners to the game to celebrate him and encouraged people to learn CPR.
He said: The reason I’m doing so well is because of the heroic actions of our players, support staff, doctors and paramedics.
Surrounded by these heroes, I am grateful that this happened to me.

I’ll never forget what you did for me.
“I’m sad that I won’t be able to take part in the game, but I’m filled with pride to see the players continue to fight without me.The fighting spirit I’ve shown in the last three games has given me the boost I so desperately needed.
” I will do my best to help the manager and the club.
In what capacity this applies is yet to be determined as we are scheduled to meet with experts in the new year.
“I cannot stress enough how important it is that as many people as possible know about CPR.
