Tyrese Campbell has returned to full training with Stoke City and hopes to be available for the next league game.
The 24-year-old has not played since early December, when he scored in a 2-1 loss to Plymouth Argyle, then coached by Stephen Schumacher, but returned to the pitch on Thursday.
Creighton tried to get Schumacher’s attention
It is not too early for Campbell to feature in this weekend’s FA Cup game against Brighton & Hove Albion, but he could feature next Saturday in the Championship away to Rotherham.

He is scheduled to participate in training on Friday.
Mehdi Lelis completed the 12-day concussion protocol and returned to the team.
Josh Laurent is expected to be out until February with an ankle problem.

It was his first session with the group so it might be too early to join him at the weekend but , he looked fit and sharp.
“We’ll strengthen him over the next few days and get him ready for Rotherham.

Ben Pearson didn’t train today, but I hope he will be able to practice tomorrow.

Lewis Baker made his first start since April on New Year’s Day and played 90 minutes against Ipswich Town.
Schumacher plans to be patient as he believes the midfielder can change games in the future.
“Lewis is really talented,” the head coach said.
“What I’ve learned in the short amount of time I’ve been here is that he’s got some skills.
I knew it anyway, I knew it was him before I got here.
But I wasn’t fully aware of the injury he had, so when I had a conversation with him and he explained the situation for the first half of the season, it took a while for him to get there.
I knew it would be.
“It was really good to have him on the pitch.
I think he showed his quality, especially at the start of the game, with the positions he took and the shots he blocked.
That’s what we need.
That’s the contribution of a midfield goalscorer.
We want the team to play like that and he has the skills.
Schumacher has jumped into the deep end after arriving at Stoke.
With four games played in 10 days, the five-day break between games against Ipswich and Brighton was almost a luxury.
“After the Ipswich game, we gave the players a few days off,” Schumacher said.
“It was important for everyone to get some rest, including the coaching team.
It’s been a manic Christmas season and we were able to get them out again today and next week’s game against Rotherham will be the key to a win for us.
