Bristol Rovers manager Matt Taylor has given an update on Chris Martin’s contract status, saying his contract has been finalized after Chris Martin scored in the Gase’s 2-1 home defeat to Blackpool.

The Scot has scored 10 league goals in just 13 starts for Rovers this season and has been a key part of the team since joining the club.
Asked how close he was to signing Martin, Taylor said: It hasn’t been officially announced yet, but I think we’re very close.

“Again, I think he’s been one of our stand-up performers the last few weeks,” Taylor said.
