Nottingham Forest head coach Steve Cooper has provided an update on the injury status of five players, including Taiwo Awoniyi, ahead of the Premier League game against Brighton.
Forest made a good start to the season, picking up 13 points from his first 12 games, but felt he could do more.
When they do well, they usually get results, and Coach Cooper hopes that will be the case against the Seagulls.
“We’re sitting here knowing that we could and should have gotten more points and that we missed some good opportunities to get points.
“I know that, but I also know that last season we were at the bottom of the league this time,” he said during the match.
His pre-game press conference.
“Let’s keep trying to improve and be motivated to score more points than last season, but don’t get so carried away that we lose sight of where we’ve come from and where we are.
Let’s do it.

” Striker Taiwo Awoniyi will be sidelined for “several months” with a groin injury, while Anthony Elanga, Murillo and Danilo are doubts.
“Anthony (Elanga) was examined immediately after the game against West Ham and had a slight injury to the inside of his knee, but he is doing well and is no longer able to train,” Cooper added.
“Murillo unfortunately suffered a setback at West Ham with an Achilles injury.
He’s in good form and he’s a young player who we want to give him a chance, so this was a big blow for him.
“Danilo also sprained his ankle after the game and limped off.
“Callum (Hudson-Odoi) has just returned to training.
He has completed the final stages and hopes to be back in the coming weeks.
“We will never look for or think of excuses.
We will focus on the players who are available.
The injured boys.
” That is our focus while supporting the Awonyi, Cooper said: “We will support him and try to get him back healthy as soon as possible, but this is a really unfortunate situation and a blow for him.
” “With the goals he has scored and the goals he has He’s shot for us and he’s become an important player for us, but he’s a really good guy and a good professional who really wants to do well, so it’s tough to get an injury like that.
is” “We have to help him come back stronger.
He’s done it here before and he’s going to give it his all again like he did last time.
” “Given his performance when he came back last season, that was definitely a good baseline to rely on him again.
