AUSTIN, Texas – University of Texas junior wide receiver Kyle Shanahan was injured in a freak accident at his parents’ home last Saturday morning, requiring three layers of stitches.

“I’ve done it a million times before, but this time my hand slipped and fell into the post.
” The injury required a two-hour surgery to clean and repair the quadriceps.
.
He was left with an 8-inch scar on the top of his leg.
The recipient added, “I’m sorry it took up your time.
” “I want to take this as a challenge to get back as soon as possible.
I look forward to a speedy recovery and getting back on the field with my teammates.
