Former MK Dons top scorer Scott Fraser looks set to return to form as he faces a loan move to Hearts.
The 28-year-old scored 14 goals and provided eight assists in 50 appearances for the Dons during the 2020/21 coronavirus lockout season, replacing Cameron Jerome as the club’s top scorer.
However, he moved to Ipswich Town after just one year at the club.
He moved to Charlton Athletic in January 2022 for an undisclosed fee after just six months and 20 appearances at Portman Road.
Advertisement The Scot, who has since scored 10 goals in 78 appearances for The Valley, is set to return north of the border to Hearts on loan.
Fraser, who has not played for the Addicks since the new year, is expected to soon complete his move to Tynecastle until the end of the season, according to the Edinburgh News.
Fraser’s signing appears to be Hearts’ second signing of January, following the arrival of defender Dexter Lembikisa on loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Hearts have completed their second signing of the January transfer window with the move north for Charlton Athletic midfielder Scott Fraser.
The two clubs have agreed a loan deal until the summer, which is expected to be completed this week.
Fraser, 28, has made 22 appearances for Charlton this season but the English League One club are open to letting him return to Scotland.
He came through Dundee United’s youth set-up and played on loan at Airdrie before moving to England in 2018.
Since then he has played for Burton Albion, MK Dons, Ipswich Town and Charlton.

Motherwell were also interested in Fraser and held talks with Charlton, but Tynecastle officials soon agreed to a loan deal until the end of the season.
Defender Dexter Lembikisa joins on loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers, earning his first contract, with Fraser expected to be his second.
He will soon sign his papers in Edinburgh and begin the next phase of his career.
Fraser could feature in Tuesday night’s Premiership match against Dundee at Tynecastle if his registration is processed in time.
Hearts returned to action on Saturday with a 2-1 win over Spartans in the fourth round of the Scottish Cup.

It remains to be seen whether he will be available after leading scorer Lawrence Shankland missed the game against the Spartans due to illness.
