Elkan Baggott, with 24 caps, is the first Indonesian international to play in the EFL.
Bristol Rovers has signed defender Elkan Baggott from Ipswich Town on loan until the end of the season.
The 21-year-old started his career in Ipswich’s academy and has made seven first-team outings, including four this season.
Last season, the centre-back spent time on loan with Gillingham and Cheltenham.
The Indonesian international earned his debut for his country in 2021 and was a member of the squad for this year’s Asian Cup in Qatar.
“I’ve had several conversations with the management. The way the squad plays here, as well as the environment, I believe is ideal for me,” Baggott stated.
